Rosa Marino

Rosa (Lauren Rose) is a hands-on lover of life. Whether it’s her first love of throwing pottery which turned into a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, or kneading dough for homemade pasta, Rosa is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She raised chickens and grew her own food for years during relatively short but sweet Vermont summers. Caring for the earth, its living creatures, and its people is what makes Rosa feel alive. With a bachelor of science degree in nursing, Rosa has extended precious care to her Vermont community by working in the emergency room at the local hospital for 16 years. She is an avid reader, loves to cook, and you can find Rosa on her yoga mat most mornings. Driven by a passion for traveling and preferring to stay off the beaten path, Rosa has adventured overland through many African and Asian countries. For the last six years, she has been primarily living underwater by working as a divemaster on the tiny island of Pulau Weh in Indonesia. Despite all of her travels, Rosa always returns to her second family in Rwanda.
